ProTerra training courses

Learn more about the ProTerra Standard, the European and Smallholders’ Interpretations.

ProTerra offers a series of e-learning courses designed to provide stakeholders with information on the ProTerra Standard, the ProTerra European and Smallholder Interpretations, their requirements and applicability.

The main benefits of the ProTerra courses are:

  • Practical knowledge of the applicability and principles of the ProTerra Standard and its Interpretations;
  • Know-how on how to identify and manage supply chain risks;
  • Ability to implement the ProTerra Standard or its Interpretations in supply chains;
  • Opportunities to build relationships with ProTerra staff and like-minded stakeholders.

Our e-courses provide participants with the background, detailed requirements, readings and quizzes to help them deepen their knowledge of the topics presented. The average duration of these courses is 2-3 hours. A certificate of completion is issued at the end of the course. Our e-learning courses are recommended for Quality and CSR staff.

Our available e-training courses are:

ProTerra Standard V4.1

This training is aimed at those who want an introduction to the ProTerra Standard, through this course, participants will gain basic knowledge of the ProTerra Standard, its requirements and principles, participants will take quizzes to deepen their knowledge. Recommended for companies that want to learn more about the standard and that are implementing or planning to implement the ProTerra Standard.

ProTerra European Interpretation

The ProTerra European Interpretation course is designed to explain to stakeholders how to apply the interpretation in their companies and supply chains. This will help companies to engage in local markets and to support the improvement of local agricultural practices so that stakeholders can gain confidence in products coming from crop-producing areas, such as Eastern Europe.

ProTerra Smallholders Interpretation

The ProTerra Interpretation for Smallholders aims to support the continuous development of smallholders’ agricultural activities. ProTerra recognises that any effort to implement sustainable agricultural practices also contributes to improving smallholder´s livelihoods and quality of life in many ways. This training helps participants to understand and apply the requirements and principles of the Interpretation.
