MRV Standard Recognised by Global Seafood Alliance

We are pleased to announce that the MRV Standard V1.0 has been officially recognised by the Global Seafood Alliance (GSA) as a sustainability standard within their framework. This recognition underscores the strength and reliability of the MRV Standard for soy and soy-derived ingredients, complementing the existing recognition of ProTerra Standard V5.0.

Under BAP Standard clause 4.10, for soy and soy-derived ingredients, at least 50% (based on mass balance) must come from sources certified to ProTerra, RTRS, SSAP, or other standards successfully benchmarked against FEFAC Guidelines.

The MRV Standard V1.0 has been successfully benchmarked against the FEFAC Guidelines for Responsible Soy Sourcing and is listed on both the FEFAC benchmarking instance and the ITC Standards Map. More information is available on its Standards Map factsheet.

By recognising the MRV Standard, GSA provides companies sourcing soy with a verified tool to demonstrate compliance with sustainability and traceability requirements under its framework.

This milestone reinforces ProTerra’s commitment to transparent, responsible, and verifiable soy sourcing and supports best practices across the supply chain.
