1- As an auditor conducting a ProTerra MRV audit and verifying compliance with the deforestation cut-off date of the standard, set as December 31, 2020, I would request documents that demonstrate adherence to local regulations, such as environmental licenses, land ownership titles, historical boundary maps, as well and satellite imagery.
2-As an auditor faced with a situation like this, I would request satellite images, production records from recent years to assess if there was a significant increase due to land clearing, and biodiversity maintenance reports.
